2013 Free Agent Signings

Mike Wallace Signs with Miami Dolphins:

Mike Wallace will be a Miami Dolphin.  ESPN  is reporting that the 25 year old Wallace will sign a deal pending passing his physical in the neighborhood of $3o Million guaranteed.  Huge money for this speedy WR.  Yes he can run the top off of coverage and yes he led the Steelers in TD’s and receiving yards.  I think it is crazy money to pay a WR.  It is the state of the game today though.  This guy is small and my question is what help does Wallace give you in the running game.  Philbin and the Dolphins need a running game.  Yes, Wallace will keep the Safety out of the box, but it is crazy to spend this kind of money for a WR and then loose their All-Pro tackle Jake Long and also also loose Reggie Bush.

Browns sign Paul Kruger:

The Cleveland Browns have reached agreement with DE Paul Kruger of the  Super Bowl winning Baltimore Ravens.  This is a huge pick up for the Browns and new GM Michael Lombardi and defensive Coordinator Ray Rhodes.  Kruger is familiar with every offensive player in the division.  He is young, aggressive and will fit perfect into the Browns new 3-4 Defense that Rhodes will install.  (5 years $40 Million)
