College Position Projection Summary:

*Phase 1 – Physical Profile: (Verified #’s for all athletes to get an accurate evaluation of core strength and explosive speed)

Position Specific Key Stats

Position Specific Key Stats – (We will update Name‘s numbers as they are verified!)

1 – 40-yard dash: A measure of off-the-mark quickness and transition to top speed.

*40 – Yard(Measurement of Athlete’s Linear Speed) – 

2 – Vertical jump: Your vertical jump height and body weight are factored together to assess your peak power.

*Vertical Jump(Measurement of Athletes Explosive Quad Strength) – 

3 – 5-10-5 shuttle (also known as the 20-yard shuttle run): a drill demanding split second changes of posture, direction, and speed.

*Pro Shuttle – 5-10-5(Measurement of Athletes Change of Direction and Level Change of Hips) – 

4 – Kneeling powerball toss: a test designed to measure the ability to develop and deliver coordinated power.

*Powerball – Explosive Hips, Core, Back, Shoulders, etc

A player’s results in those four exercises, when normalized by weight, gives a number that measures the player’s power, agility, speed, explosiveness, and overall athleticism.

*L-Drill(Measurement run to evaluate the agility, quickness and fluidity of movement) –  

*Broad Jump(Measurement of Athletes Explosive Hip Strength) – 

 

*Phase 2 – Competition Phase – (Completed for all athletes to get an accurate evaluation of effort, competitive edge and Level of Play.)

*Athletes Competitive edge: Demonstrates the ability to compete to the echo of the whistle. Video demonstration of Athlete finishing plays, winning the one on one’s, being the more aggressive player.  

*Football IQ: Demonstrates clearly the athlete has the Football Intelligence to be effective at the College level. 

*LOP – (Level of Play): We have developed a LOP (Level of Play high rating State-by State as a guide for our MFE Evaluators.) / (resource – MaxPreps, ESPN, SBNation)

Position Specific Evaluation Criteria:

4 – Levels of Play Rating:

1 – Elite Level – Video demonstration of the athlete performing the position specific skill criteria and technique at an elite level. Physical Profile at or above the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility at or above preferred numbers or range metric determine level of play scale.

2 – High LevelVideo demonstration of the athlete performing the position specific skill criteria and technique at a high level. Physical Profile at the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility at preferred numbers or range metric determining level of play scale.

3 – Adequate Level –  Video demonstration of the athlete performing the position specific skill criteria and technique at a fundamental and functional level needing work but adequate. Physical Profile at or near the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility at or near preferred numbers or range metric determining level of play scale.

4 – Developmental LevelVideo demonstration of the athlete performing the position specific skill criteria and technique at a developmental level needing work. Physical Profile below the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility below preferred numbers or range metric determining level of play scale.

Individual Position Specific 6-Point Evaluation: (we will use the 4 levels of skill rating for each of the position specific skill sets.)

4 – Levels of Play Projections for 2022 / 2023:

1 – Elite LevelVideo Projection of Junior High athlete at projected position, performing specific skill criteria and technique at a level that is extremely high as compared with the similar age athletes at primary position. Physical Profile projects at elite level with maturity and growth over the next 3-4 years at or above the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility project at or above preferred numbers or range metric determine level of play scale.

2 – High LevelVideo Projection of Junior High athlete at projected position, performing specific skill criteria and technique at a level that is high as compared with the similar age athletes at primary position. Physical Profile projects at high level with maturity and growth over the next 3-4 years at or near the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility project at or near preferred numbers or range metric determine level of play scale.

3 – Adequate Level –  Video Projection of Junior High athlete at projected position, performing specific skill criteria and technique at a functional level needing work but adequate as compared with the similar age athletes at primary position. Physical Profile at or just below the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility at or just below preferred numbers or range metric determining level of play scale.

4 – Developmental LevelVideo Projection of Junior High athlete at projected position, performing specific skill criteria and technique at a developmental level needing work as compared with the similar age athletes at primary position. Physical Profile below the preferred size metric determining level of play scale. Speed, knee bend, quickness and hip flexibility below preferred numbers or range metric determining level of play scale.
