Coach Keys / * High Level Play – Pro-Style and Spread QBs possess 2 0r 3 of the qualities of a FBS QB / *Spin Efficiency – Ability to throw the Deep Out, Comeback, Dig, & Seam Route with slight loft. *Arm Strength – Ability to throw ball through goalpost from 50-yard line / *Proficient ability to throw receivers open and execute the back-shoulder throw. *Dual-Threat QBs can be raw as passers but must display the ability of a pure athlete on the field with above average size/speed combinations / *Demonstrates High Level QB ability – All-Conference level at minimum. *Recognition from national recruiting media and Premier National Camp & Combine presence helpful.

40-yard dash: A measure of off-the-mark quickness and transition to top speed.
Vertical jump: Your vertical jump height and body weight are factored together to assess your peak power.
5-10-5 shuttle (also known as the 20-yard shuttle run): a drill demanding split second changes of posture, direction, and speed.
Kneeling powerball toss: a test designed to measure the ability to develop and deliver coordinated power.
A player’s results in those four exercises, when normalized by weight, gives a number that measures the player’s power, agility, speed, explosiveness, and overall athleticism.

*Athletes Competitive edge: Aliam displays a high level of QB mechanics, release and ball placement. He is sharp throwing WR open to a spot open in the Zone. He is tough, stands in the pocket and will create a play for his team.
*Football IQ: Aliam demonstrates mature skill set as well as understanding of timing, coverage and the ability to throw open his WR. He is also confident in that he will give his WR’s a chance to make a play in 1 on 1 opportunities.

Position Specific Evaluation Criteria:
4 – levels of Rating:
1 – Elite Level – Video demonstration of the athlete performing the skill at an elite level.
2 – High Level– Video demonstration of athlete performing the skill / fundamental at a high level.
3 – Adequate Level – Video demonstration of athlete performing the skill / fundamental at a functional level needing work but adequate.
4 – Developmental Level – Video demonstration of athletes performing the skill / fundamental at a developmental level needing work.
Individual Position Specific 6-Point Evaluation: (we will use the 4 levels of skill rating for each of the position specific skill sets.)
Aliam displays Adequate Level physical profile, Adequate Level core strength, Adequate Level athletic ability relating to quickness, COD & ability to stress a defense in space.
Aliam demonstrates High Level quick and decisive decisions, High Level body language & non-verbal posture, High Level command of the Offense, High Level demonstration of Identifying Coverage and High Level ability to get the Offense out of a bad play and into a good play.

Aliam demonstrates High Level display of poise in the pocket, High Level patience and a sense for extending the play keeping eyes downfield, High Level ability to locate the open throwing lane, High Level demonstration of knowing where check down is located, and High Level ability to know when to get rid of the ball and live to fight another day.
Aliam displays High Level posture, cradling of the ball in the “Tuck”, Adequate Level sprint out mechanics and athletic ability, High Level posture, mobility and body movements during play action, and High Level lower body passing mechanics with feet, gather and transfer to front foot and hips at target, maintaining high delivery point.
Aliam displays High Level grip and ability to get the ball out of hands quickly, High Level tight release, High Level minimal wasted throwing motions, High Level catch-arm & set from Gun, and High Level ability demonstrating consistent release point of ball adjusting wrist velocity to touch of throw.

*Strengths include – Aliam presents an advanced skill set for his age and is very mature. He is exceptional in the pocket, smooth, confident and demonstrates the ability to work through progressions. Great upside and high ceiling.
*Criteria of developmental focus – Focus on core strength and explosive speed – Work on the deep out at the numbers to the field and the vertical throw outside the numbers keeping release and mechanics consistent.
*Moving Forward – Skill and instruction, combined with exposure at camps. Important to let genetic progress take its course and let recruiting take care of itself at this early stage. Improvement on fundamentals are the most important.
