Player Key Physical Stats

2019 Billy Davis @CoachDavis4242 @billy_davis15

Recommended Level of Play: Early Projection - Physical profile of FBS MLB - very active and versatile to move to OLB and can put hand in the turf effectively and be productive. MLB is recommended future at higher levels of play. Will need to work on twitchy-sudden display with ability to match RB in space. Billy is physical, active and can fit a window at B & C gaps. He also demonstrates the ability to close very well on ball carrier as well as drop to the shallow hole reading the QB and defending the seam. Work needed on initial quick down hill sudden display to match up at higher levels.

Evaluation Summary

*Strengths includeBilly displays the physical profile of a high level college LB. He is active, productive and instinctive. He demonstrates the ability to make plays in the box and on the edge as well as defend the Shallow hole, Hook & Seam effectively.

*Criteria of developmental focus – Focus on quick feet, quick starts coming to balance, change of direction, sudden twitchy display for Billy is important. He demonstrates the ability to match up and be a very productive, disruptive LB. Initial appearance of video is heal toe at start creating a slow impression of getting going and gives a heavy foot appearance. I don’t believe this to be the case, but we need to eliminate the impression and be sudden and twitchy initially as play develops.

*Moving Forward – Continue to work and polish techniques, position specific fundamentals & would like to see Billy working on bands creating the resistance and opening up the muscles for additional elasticity.
